Where’s Amy?: Lineup announced for Heartland Film Festival

    It was a night of fun for Carmel Heartland Fans – Gail Emerich, Dolly Craft, Molly Dewberry Craft and Sue Ann Specht. These ladies are ready to see the best of the best films at the Heartland Film Festival.

    Local child actor Mitchell Wray and pal Shannon M. Brown both of Carmel were all smiles at the 2015 Heartland Film Festival announcement party. Wray recently starred in an indie thriller out coming soon and was there to support Brown who is in “Upendo,” an official shorts selection that will show at the Heartland Film Festival in October.

    Chris Hutson, president of DCG, attended the Heartland Film Festival announcement party. Hutson is responsible for the wonderful signage of the festival and also has worked with the Palladium’s signage.

    Marina Waters, chief operating officer of Luna and Heartland sponsor, enjoyed introducing friend Linda Jimenez to the wonderful world of film. Waters’ company works closely with Carmel, Fishers, Geist and Zionsville residents.

    Heartland Film Festival Director of Marketing and Public Relations Greg Sorvig is happy that Current and “Where’s Amy?” will cover the 2015 festival again. He said he will be interested to see what Top 5 films “Where’s Amy?” chooses.

    Fishers was in the house at the Heartland Film Festival announcement party – Vicki Wertz and Karen and Maddie Snyder had a blast finding out which films they must attend. The Snyders said they love to read Current and look forward to their mother/daughter film outings at the AMC theaters.

    “Where’s Amy?” had fun catching up with architect/designer and local actor Chip Kalleen, who talked film with Carmel filmmakers Max Pitchkites and Jay Cougan of Obscure Moon Productions. These three guys are fired up to see all of the Heartland Films.
