    Anyone who may have wondered whether the removal of the Stop Sign at Auman was:

    A.) really about traffic flow,
    B.) a Political trick,
    C.) a payback for opposing Grammercy
    D.) just a cheap campaign stunt and power play
    It is now crystal clear.

    Within 8 months of the Mayors removing the Stop sign, the neighborhood he mentions in the attached memo is a war zone and 126th is one way. It is obvious they did not need to take it out January 5th when just 8 months later 126th would be a construction site with only one-way traffic flow.

    If there was no malice why was it left in from May 2010 to only become a burning issue during a contested election?

    It was a problem in 2010 and then for 5 years it wasn’t a problem till an election challenge caused him to implement this campaign gimmick.

    That so many Councilors went along with it and made it part of their campaigns shows collaboration and a lack of respect for Carmel citizens. If the sign was bad for Carmel citizens he could have taken it out in 2010. He didn’t.
