Midwest School of Voice hosting fall showcase

The Midwest School of Voice has been open for four years and has put on a Modern Vocal Performer Fall Showcase each semester. The school will be hosting their 12th showcase next month. The event will be at noon on Nov. 7 and 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Nov. 8.
“Our showcases are broken into three shows due to the large number of students and are separated by age group,” said the school’s manager, Erica Thompson.
During the showcase, students will play one song that they have been working on this semester in front of a live band at The Warehouse in Carmel. The event will conclude with a group song performed by all of the students involved in the showcase. Enrollment for the event is filling up quickly.
“This is our largest enrollment to date, so we will be having three showcases over the span of two days,” Thompson said.
The school believes that it is very important for these young performers to be able to showcase their talents and developments.
“The purpose of our event is for our students to get a chance to showcase their vocal and performance growth. It is a great way for them to put into practice everything that they are learning while in their voice lessons,” she said.
Performers at the event will be anywhere from ages 9-18, and will perform a wide range of genres.
Tickets can be purchased for the event on Eventbrite by visiting Liveforthemusic.com or Discovermsv.com. The website contains lots of details regarding the school, founders, and other information. The showcase will be held at The Warehouse, 254 1st Ave SW, Carmel.
