Very well put Bishop. Unfortunately those who do not interpret the religious texts in such loving and accepting terms will take issue with this. This whole issue of LGBT rights is fascinating in that it shows how the application of biblical principles is based on a person’s interpretation rather than a literal word for word guide to morality. As far as I know, the Bible has not changed in the past five or ten years. Yet in that same period there has been a growing acceptance within the religious community and the country as a whole of the LGBT community to the point of marriage.
