At the Child and Childcare General Center in Kawachinagano, Japan, a number of playhouses have been modeled and built around some of Carmel’s most well-known buildings. As Carmel’s sister city since 1994, Kawachinagano has regularly taken part in programs with Carmel including a children’s art exchange as part of the Carmel Art Council’s World’s Smallest Children’s Art Gallery and the Carmel International Art Festival.
