Catherine “Cathy” Jackson Rambicure, age 52, wife of Gregory W. Rambicure, of Carmel died of a massive brain aneurysm on February 2 at IU Health/Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt born in Charleston, WV on August 10, 1960, daughter of Rev. George Jackson and the late Marjorie “Marge” Mielke Jackson.

Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie and her sister, Sharon Denise. In addition to her husband, Cathy is survived by her daughter, Mackenzie Spinks Rambicure of Carmel; Rev. George Jackson of Carmel; sisters, Deborah (Steve) Lacey of Noblesville and Cindy (Ed) Bisker of Lafayette; nieces, Denise Shackelford of Westfield and Erin Sargent of Olive Branch, MS; grand-niece, Zoey Shackelford. She is also survived by her step-sons, Eric (Beth) Rambicure and Keith Rambicure of Janesville, WI; her sisters-in-law, Susan R. (Walter) Miller and Peggy Rambicure; brother-in-law, Bill (Susan Sears) Rambicure all of Lexington, KY, in addition to several nieces and nephews Cathy is also survived by Uncle Richard (Carol) Mielke and Carol Mielke and numerous cousins.

Cathy graduated from North Central High School and Indiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Affairs. She dearly loved her husband and was very proud of Kenzie and all of her accomplishments she has achieved thus far. Over the years, Cathy took great joy in seeing Kenzie’s performances in the Indianapolis Children’s Choir, Indianapolis Youth Chorale and Carmel High School.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis.  Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the service time Tuesday at the church.

Cathy was able to donate several organs, leaving a positive legacy to help others for which the family is grateful. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Children’s Choir, 4600 Sunset Ave., Indianapolis or the Indianapolis Humane Society, 7929 N. Michigan Road, Indianapolis. Services were entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory.

    I first met Cathy when we were 7th graders at Westlane, We crossed paths frequently over the next few years through our senior year at North Central. She was a great person and it was akways fun to talk to her at our class reunions. It is very sad to lose her so young and my heart goes out ot her family.
