Carmel man arrested after contacting children online
Carmel Police and members of the Hamilton County Metro Child Exploitation Task Force arrested a Carmel man Oct. 8 on charges of dissemination of material harmful to minors and inappropriate communication with a child using a computer network.
Kevin Fry, 36, was arrested at his Carmel residence in the 200 block of Meadow Lane, according to a police report.
Task force members said they began investigating Fry after receiving reports of a man approaching young females, sharing his social media contact information and asking that they contact him.
The Carmel Police Department began receiving additional calls involving very similar circumstances. Police said they shared the information with Carmel Clay Schools officials who in turn sent out a safety warning to its students and parents.
Fry is currently being held in the Hamilton County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
