      ABOUT US

The editorial content in our publications is gathered and packaged based on the results of independent marketplace research that was done pre-launch. The communities spoke, and we have delivered on their wishes. We invite content submissions – and get them regularly – from all corners in the community. We’re active listeners, and that means this: News is what our readers say it is. That’s not a concept; it’s a practice. This is the community’s newspaper, its enrichment source and its rallying point. We’re happy to play that role.

We are for, by and about the communities we serve.

      In our advertisers’ words

“The results that we’ve measured against our advertising commitment to Current in Carmel show the paper to be a very wise marketing investment. No other product offers me complete market penetration close to that cost.” – Sue Finkam, manager, marketing and public relations, Clarian North Medical Center

“Because of our working with Current in Carmel during CarmelFest 2007, we can attribute a substantial increase, about 40 percent, in attendance during the festival, and our parade attendance was up by an estimated 30 percent.” - Gary Frey, CarmelFest chairman

“I put our coupon only in your paper as a test. Our evening business has increased by 15 percent, and that is a material number. Very successful!” – Brian Shapiro, owner, Shapiro’s Delicatessen

“By advertising in Current, I have gained brand recognition in an industry that offers several different products. It’s well worth the investment. It gets me opportunities to talk to people I otherwise ordinarily wouldn’t get.” – Scott M. Wharton, owner, Wharton Insurance & Financial Services, Inc.

“I don’t need to advertise anywhere else. Current in Carmel is building my Carmel practice all by itself.” – Dr. John Lowe, D.D.S., Contemporary Dental Concepts

“To my knowledge, Miracle Restaurant Group’s Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant in Carmel set an opening-week record for sales for stores in what we call new markets. … Current in Carmel is, of course, among the top on our list of entities that made it happen.” – Carl Whitmire, marketing director, Miracle Restaurant Group

      SUBMISSIONS

      Contributing writers, photographers welcomed!

We know you have a computer and/or a digital camera. We know you’re curious about how to write and/or shoot photos for YOUR NEWSPAPER, so just let us know if you are. You probably should e-mail our assignments editor, Kevin Kane, at kkane@currentincarmel.com (for Carmel and Westfield) or managing editor Zach Dunkin (for Noblesville) as soon as you get the inkling. When either hears from you, he’ll give you the guidelines - and, besides, they really much prefers talking to folks from the community than they do those of us inside the office.

      News tips and other submissions
Don’t think twice; send us your news, information, tips and letters. We promise to give everything its due consideration, because, again, this is YOUR NEWSPAPER, and we want YOU to be a part of it. If you want to bat some ideas around, give us a call at 317.489.4444. We’d love to hear from you! Send it all to our assignments editor, Kevin Kane, at kkane@currentincarmel.com (for Carmel and Westfield), or managing editor Zach Dunkin, at zach@currentnoblesvile.com (for Noblesville).

      Your newspapers, your deadlines
Current is delivered to every household in the city each Tuesday by the U.S. Postal Service. Coincidentally, our deadlines are Tuesdays - as in the week before each edition - by 5 p.m. (Of course, if you’re running a little late, we’ll make every effort to accommodate you. Just call ahead and warn us at 317.489.4444. If you turn everything over to us on time or early, we’ll sing your praises - maybe a little off-key, but we’ll be
      singing them nonetheless.)
