Letter: Bridge would be more useful than carousel

Before paying $5 million for an admittedly beautiful carousel, we should find out how many kids rode the Forest Park carousel last year. A much more useful addition would be a pedestrian bridge across White River from Hazel Dale Landing Park to Heritage Park in Fishers. Five million dollars would more than cover Carmel’s half of the cost.

Now that’s thinking out of the box. I like it. River crossings are very expensive thanks to federal and state involvement. However, Fishers could pony up too and what a great way to connect without having to be on the roads.
