The Carmel High School girls swim team recently visited the office of Gov. Mike Pence, who congratulated the team on its 30th consecutive state title, which set a national record. “Every Hoosier should be proud of the remarkable feat that this team has achieved,” Pence said. “These outstanding student athletes exemplify the true meaning of perseverance, hard work, determination and team work. I look forward to watching each of these young women’s continued achievements in the years ahead.” The team also met with State Sen. Mike Delph, who authored a resolution congratulating the team on its accomplishment.
